The Difference Between Vegetarian and Vegan
Vegetarians do not include meat, seafood, or poultry in their diet. While they may not eat animals, they may eat products that contain them such as dairy and eggs. Vegans take it a step further. In addition to not eating any animal products, they also remove any and all animal byproducts that involve animals in their processing mechanisms. This includes dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin, etc. Aside from diet, vegans often extend their animal-free choices to many other aspects of their lives, such as clothing and beauty products. You’d be surprised, but many vegans avoid wool and silk products because the animals used to produce them are usually harmed in the process. It’s always good to check and see if any product you buy is cruelty-free!
